Job description

Research project(s)
Epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) is the most serious of all gynecological cancers, mainly due to its asymptomatic nature and the resulting lack of early diagnosis. By using (epi)genomics/proteomics approaches and tumor specimens (including primary cell cultures derived from EOC tumors and ascites) with corresponding clinical data from our ovarian cancer biobank, we envision to investigate for novel mechanisms of ovarian cancer initiation, progression and response to treatment, and to identify markers with early diagnostic and/or prognostic significance for this deadly disease.

Skills needed

We are looking for a motivated and initiative PhD student, as past evidence of scientific productivity and passion for research will be important criteria. Candidates of all scientific fields, including molecular and cellular biology and biochemistry, will be considered. The interested candidates are invited to submit their application containing a short letter of presentation/motivation (specifying their interest in our laboratory), an updated resume (including the names of two references) and their latest academic transcripts.
